History: An Ancient Ayurvedic practice Garshana (pronounced gar-shun-uh) which means ‘rubbing’ is dry lymphatic skin brushing which has an exfoliating effect on skin. It promotes removal of ama (celluar waste products) and stimulates kapha. Garshana traditionally uses wool or dry silk, however, today it often includes a dry body brush for personal administration.
